What does "Pele demands a sacrifice" mean? Sometimes those descriptions are really confusing... Like "Don't drop it, might loose a toe" on a repeating gun.

Dude I was so sad when I saw the x1. It still takes pretty much anything out in one shot that I need it to, but still, IMPERFECTIONS MAKE ME RAGE. As for flavor text, there's a growing list here. And if you are curious about the hit animation for the sniper, you can watch it here in shit-tier aussie net friendly quality.

Here's my complete 6 item loadout in animated form. I'm not really satisfied with my class mod or the power on my Transfusion (I carry Incendiary Proximity and Incendiary Longbow as well, with slightly lower 50-range values on those), but until better things show up I'm stuck with them. Also not thrilled with using gear with requirements I met ten levels ago, but hey, random loot is random.

Yeah, transfusion is nice, but since I'm a Hunter I rarely need much healing. Plus I've got a shield with Quick Regeneration (but only 71 armor - gotta get a new one).

Still, that revolver is awesome. Also your mod is pretty decent, too. A lot better than mine :/

Btw, if it says "+XX% corrosive damage", does it INCREASE damage, adds 21% damage and makes it corrosive, or just makes 21% of your damage corrosive?

Oh, wow. 2 shotter, nice. My new rev might be a bit better than yours... Too bad it's got Corrode instead of Explosions, but hey, it's got a zoom so big, you headshot almost non-stop.

I have a 6-shooter. Even if I have to attack them twice, I still kill 3 while you kill 2. Also I have ZOOOM.

Phase Walk with level 2 Explosive or Incendiary Artifact - if I need to finish anything off, I finish off the entire group. And even if you can shoot more times before reloading, I still kill faster, with less bullets. :3

Phase Walk, meh.

Bloodwing, now this is cool. 6 people die in few seconds while I'm getting a lot more loot, money and ammo plus it heals me and dazes tougher enemies.

Also - burning people to death is cool too. Their bodies start evaporating from the legs, hands, then their entire corpse burns down.

Bloodwing is pretty awesome (though I heard if you aim straight down and spam it shit is too cash), but I can't bring myself to work on my Hunter at all when my Siren needs MOAR LEWTS.

Some random Lance Engineer dropped this like half an hour ago. I've been using it in spite of the low damage because of the ammo regen. Shit's pretty hardcore on Spiderants.

Wow just reading this whole thread makes me really want Borderlands... I've told several friends about it.. and hopefully we'll all be getting it.. some questions... : Since there is ammo.. is there every points where u'll run out of ammo in hard places?.. also how do u save?.. and is the game Online only?.. can i play Campaign without internet access?.. or is it required.. Ty for the answer i'll be looking forward to it.. I got huge hopes on this game

The game is fantastic and is especially fun with friends. If you play solo it might not take you as long to get bored seeing as how you can snag all of the weapons and equipment for yourself. Enemies aren't as tough or smart, and the world overall may feel a bit empty with just your lone self fighting off baddies. The world is fairly large and there's a lot of encouragement to explore and do side quests but this creates a problem. Solo the game is absolutely too easy. If you do side quests you won't be finding much of a challenge in the middle of the game. The quests had me fighting bosses and taking on tasks intended for someone several levels lower than myself so a lack of a system to scale up enemies to be on par with you can be troublesome. Not to say I never died though. There were moments when I found myself running like a headless chicken because of the numerous bullets flying my way.

The loot system is great and there are a vast variety of weapons obviously. Though I had my concerns initially about weapon skins and seeing the same weapon with different stats over and over again I'm happy to admit those concerns were nullified. I don't think I've gotten two weapons that look the same yet. There can obviously only be so many different skins though as I doubt that they would be able to program in the same amount of skins as there are weapon combination. On top of this you can further customize things by beefing up your character with talents akin to those in WoW or Diablo. The nice thing is that each class has unique talents which aid teammates but ALSO include talents that improve upon your own actions. For example the Siren has talents that give a bonus to team experience after killing an enemy for a few seconds as well as improving their movement speed and even giving them a chance to fire their weapon without the cost of ammunition. Talents that provide utility such as this can be found within every class in a different form though. This helps prevent pigeonholing and keeps classes from becoming boring.

Borderlands really is incredibly fun despite a few of it's flaws like idiot AI (the bandits at least) and a few gamebreaking bugs that have ruined it for a few people out there like character data becoming corrupt and such.

Started Playthrough 2 on Siren. My Revolver is now useless, and has been replaced by my Incendiary SMG as my weapon of choice. Time to get some pearl weaponS.

You'll only run out of ammo if you don't stock up on it when the opportunity arises (which is just about every few minutes), or if you shoot wildly at the air around an enemy instead of at it or, preferably, its weak point.

The game automatically saves your progress whenever you get close to a checkpoint pole; these are plentiful, as they also serve as locations for you to resurrect upon death, so you never have to worry about losing much time or work.

There is an offline single player mode. While the game is considerably more fun, challenging, and rewarding with four players, you can complete the entire thing without going online at any point should you desire. It's quite easy though, and may leave a CASUAL taste in your mouth if you aren't particularly interested in curbstomping everything.

Spiderants? JESUS CHRIST. Did you fight with that giant one? I was doing only 5 damage to him a shot from my explosive revo, and the only way to crit on him was to stun him with Bloodhawk and go around to shoot in the back.

Oh, and that weapon is the one with recharging ammo? Cool, pretty nice on an SMG. Btw, at what level did you start the second playthrough?

34 or something around there. I hit 40 at some point shortly after the defeat of Bonehead and called it a night. EXP gain seems to be pretty fast.

especially if you group up with people who know what mods to equip. I saw a grape mod that had like 24% xp gain along with some other good stuff. I've been working on my support (monk) soldier. They give awesome party buffs like ammo regen/mag capacity/shield regen, plus the turret spits out some dps of course, you have to spec for it. the best part? in order to heal the party, you shoot them...that's right, you shoot your own team members in order to heal...it's win, win.

my hunter has a grape "survivor" mod. +13Hp regen (team) is pretty sweet. the scavenger mod also makes lootz rain down! -not sure what I did with the scavenger mod, so no pics ;-/

and yes I already have a mule, or 2. lol.

/edit, I forgot I had this. -for those that can't read binary, it's OMG. but it is hard to use. clunky and fires too slow. good thing it, along with all other Eridian weapons they have Inf. ammo, but also have a cool-down.
